The 1st Classical Music Convention Ever In Malaysia

The 1st Carnatic Music Convention in Malayasia is Smt Yamuna's long awaiting dream (5th Achievement) come true especially for her. Music run in her blood so says Yamuna and she is still able to recall the wonderful moments when her mum use use to sing and her father would accompany her with harmonium, flute.

Shrimati Yamuna says that she grew up in a very musically inclined, orthodox, religious, cultural and a very loving environment. She feels that this kind of environment is slowly vanishing and truly becoming rare among our Malaysian Indian Families. Parents hardly find quality time to spare with their children. Children nowadays spend most of their time attending tuition classes and as parents we fail to discover or rather neglect their own interest, talents and passions.. She has realized this a long time ago and only by listening to vocal recital doesn't help to develop an individual's knowledge in music. We must create awareness and educate them by conducting lecture, demonstration, workshop, convention in order to enhance them to realize the value and depth of music.

Sangeetha Samrajiyam 2007

Sapthaswara Sangeethalaya presented Sangeetha Samrajiyam 2007 under the distinguished patronage of Datuk Dr. M. Kayveas. Sangeetha Samrajiyam 2007 was indeed a feast for the Carnatic Music Lovers.

Music makes me cry
Music makes me laugh
Music make me smile
Music makes me tingly......deep inside

When I hear music
Life comes running after me
Music is the only reason
Why I can stand on earth

Music brings me back to life
Music is the only reason I live.
